Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work for your spouse? If you ask Holly, Ryan’s wife, she will tell you “well…..it’s not horrible”. Holly Buckenmeyer joined the RBI team in 2021. Holly had been a special ed teacher and educating during the pandemic became an overwhelming task. So much so that she took the plunge that makes many couples cringe with anxiety and left her teaching job to join her husband at RBI. The move has proven to be perfect for their family, ideal for Holly, and the balance of the two spouse’s personalities is a homerun for the operations of the business.
Holly, although licensed to be an insurance agent, chooses the behind the scenes role at RBI. Holly is often found providing administrative support to the RBI agents. While her face may not be front and center her work definitely is. If it’s organized, alphabetized or categorized it has most likely been touched by Holly.
When she’s not working, Holly is a self-proclaimed introvert. She loves nothing more than a good book or a long hike in nature. Unlike Ryan, she is not the social butterfly or athlete and prefers to keep all “curling” to that of her hair or the corner of her book page. Holly and Ryan have 2 kids that keep them busy with sports and the performing arts and although Ryan is the boss at the office, Holly runs the ship at home.
As a wife, Holly said that she had always had a huge amount of pride for the business that Ryan has built. But now, working there and seeing it from the inside and understanding it in comparison to other insurance agencies, her spousal pride has turned to a deep professional respect for the integrity and level of customer service that RBI delivers daily.
Although Holly stands alone as an exceptional team member at RBI, together, her and Ryan are the yin and the yang that keep the wheels turning to bring the best to the customers they serve.
